Maggie Reads Romance

With a mere 51 pages, HOLD ME DOWN HARD is a short story that worked really well for me. I will not lie! It was really short and left me wishing there could have been more. But it was so well written! The heat and emotions jumped off the pages! When a sex scenes in a book make my heart go pitter-patter, that says enough!

There's not a lot of room for back stories but still Cathryn Fox manages to provide enough about her main characters to form a pretty good picture and background for the sexual tension and heat they create on the pages.

I loved Eden's inventive plan to get herself out of the friend-zone with Jay. And I loved Jay's struggle with trying to keep his primal urges in check because that's what he thinks Eden wants while Eden is afraid Jay will be wary of her kinky needs.

HOLD ME DOWN HARD is a quick hot read that leaves you wanting more of Eden and Jay! I really hope there will be more in this vein from Cathryn Fox. My only request is for it to be a little longer as I want to enjoy her writing for hundreds and hundreds of pages.
