Beyond Solitude
Another installment in one of my alltime favorite series and I loved it! By now every foray into the Beyond world makes me giddy in anticipation and leaves me thoroughly satisfied when finished. I loved the story of Ford and Mia. Ford is a grumpy old man, O'Kane style! Protective and tender beneath the grumpy front he shows the world. Mia fits the Beyond heroine's mold perfectly as she is marked by her past, leaving her strong yet vulnerable. Their story had a bit of a different vibe from the other ones and it seemed like the dirty was a bit toned down in intensity but it still fit perfectly in the series. Next to the heat there was an undertone of bittersweetness that had me clinging to every page and rooting for Mia and Ford to find their HEA with each other.
